Different types of stone are used for different applications. Our Cranford Mellow walling stone is perfect for dry stone walling but might not work on a house build. Equally, the cost of reclaimed building stone may be prohibitively expensive for a simple garden project but perfect for a period building restoration.
If you have any doubt over what stone you require. Please contact us with your project information and we will happily provide you with some advice.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products. Our limestone and reclaimed stone is cropped with precision and dressed to reduce the amount of work required by stonemasons. The neat nature of our stone results in tighter joints and an overall improved appearance over a larger area.
Our quality reclaimed stone is hand selected, cleaned and dressed so you can be sure that you are receiving stone that can actually be laid (and not just bags of rubble!).
Our stock of reclaimed materials is constantly changing as new stock comes in. Contact us with your requirements. If it's not in our yard then we can normally source it from our network of suppliers.
We work with local suppliers throughout the East Midlands to source the best quality materials. Our new limestone and ironstone are quarried from locations in Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Oxfordshire. It is then shipped to our yard and processed to our specifications. Our reclaimed materials are hand picked from a variety of places such as farms and construction sites.
No, our main products are listed here but as we pride ourselves on bespoke stone supply, it is always best to reach out to us first with your project requirements. We may mix reclaimed and new stone for a truly unique appearance. Some buildings have a mixture of ironstone and limestone in varying quantities. We wouldn't be able to list all variations of our stone on our website. Contact us with your requirements.
If you have a suitable vehicle that can be loaded safely then yes, we are happy for your to collect your order. Please contact us before ordering to arrange collection.
Our preferred delivery method is with our land rovers and trailers. You can read more about them on our services page.
For larger orders, we can arrange for a haulier to deliver your stone in bulk bags.
For places too far for us to reach, we will need to deliver smaller orders with a pallet delivery network. Please contact us for a quote.
Our standard local delivery cost is £100+VAT per delivery where fulfilled by ourselves. We can supply up to 3 bulk bags per delivery or 10m² of stone loose on our tipping trailer.
For example, an order of 24m² of our cropped limestone (approx. 8 bulk bags) will be split over 3 deliveries. Each delivery will be charged at £100+VAT therefore totaling £300+VAT. These deliveries can be split over any period of time you require if you are limited for space. Please let us know at the point of ordering.
For large deliveries or if you're not local then please contact us for a bespoke quotation.
Where possible, we will deliver stone in bulk bags. These weigh approximately 850kg. If there is no method of unloading the bulk bags at your site then we will supply the stone loose on our tipping trailer.
For architectural pieces, we will supply these on pallets with shrink wrapping and protective packaging.
This will depend on the delivery method and your location in relation to our yard. For local deliveries fulfilled by us, we will provide you with a date and time slot.
For larger orders where we need to book a haulier or use the pallet network then the delivery times will vary. Please contact us to discuss delivery times.
This will depend on whether it is stone we have prepared ready to go or if it is a more bespoke order.
Most of the products on our website are available with short notice and we will try our hardest to supply then as quickly as possible depending on current workload and delivery method.
Our new walling products are often ready for collection within 1 - 2 working days. This also applies to our reclaimed stone where no further work is required.
Viewing is most welcome by appointment. Most of our stone is available at our Cranford yard, ready to view. We can talk your through options available and provide samples for you to take home.
