Product description

Our Oundle limestone, historically known as Blisworth Stone, is a premium British walling stone coveted for its strength, density, and refined aesthetic. Quarried near Barnwell, Northamptonshire, this exceptional limestone has long been valued for its ability to perform in exposed environments, making it the ideal choice for walling near roads or open landscapes.

What sets our limestone apart is its superior format—available in larger course sizes and longer lengths than other stone on the market. Course heights vary from 3" to 6", offering flexibility in design. Each piece is carefully cropped to a depth of 150mm to meet modern building regulations while maintaining a traditional appearance. This format enhances the visual presence of each wall and allows for faster construction with fewer joints, resulting in a cleaner, more robust finish.

With a distinctive grey tone complemented by subtle blue streaks, our limestone offers natural variation and character, perfectly suited to both contemporary and traditional projects. Its appearance is timeless, lending an understated elegance to boundary walls, retaining structures, garden features, and architectural builds.

Highly compatible with the local styles of the East Midlands, our limestone is ideal for both new developments and heritage restoration. Its density and durability ensure long-term performance, even in demanding environments where other stones may weather or degrade.

Whether you're undertaking a rural development, a historic rebuild, or a landscape design, our Oundle limestone offers unmatched quality, consistency, and aesthetic value.

This listing is for 1m² of cropped limestone.
